An example of an audience centered approach from start to finish. Beta release in January 2009 The new Homesbook.com addresses an unserved need in the residential realty market by combining an audience-centered approach with the needs of both realty consumers and real estate agents.
Research
We researched the market and identified an unserved need in the residential real estate market based on an audience-centered look at the current market, how consumers look for homes, and how real estate agents connect with those consumers.
Design
Our design focused on avoiding the common experience of consumers and realtors of being overwhelmed by data and a lack of relevancy to their needs.
Plan
We planned 4 innovative methods for consumers and realtors to improve their ability to find the best home for the consumer and increase the collaboration between the consumer and realtor.
Prototype
HTML prototypes were created, audience reviewed and a fully operating prototype was coded in about 2 months after design was completed.
Implement
While Homesbook has not yet been released, we have been able to start generating a buzz within the online real estate community because of the innovative solutions we have incorporated into it.
CrowdTalker started with the need for a client to add value to online gift products. We implemented for the first time in that industry a video card which is completely integrated to the checkout process and sent to the recipient after receipt of the product. More crowdtalker tools will follow in 2009. Currently in development is a method to improve resume selection by HR executives and reduce the delay in getting an interview for the job applicant after preselection.
In our implementation of PSA distribution reporting for Goodwill communications, we have included data visualizations which were novel in the industry as well as a industry revolutionizing idea, we hope to implement in 2009.
